1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SPDMI.ART ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. What SPDMI.ART Is
SPDMI.ART is a curated directory of street photographers inspired by the Are-Bure-Boke aesthetic (grainy, blurry, out-of-focus style associated with Daido Moriyama). The Site allows photographers to create profiles, showcase their work, and be discovered by enthusiasts and collectors.
3. Account Registration
To create a photographer profile, you must submit your information through our submission form. All profiles are subject to moderation and approval before going live.
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile information and for any activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to reject or remove any profile at our discretion, particularly profiles that violate our content guidelines.
4. Content Guidelines
By submitting content (photos, bio, links) to SPDMI.ART, you agree that:
- You own or have the right to use all content you upload
- Your photos are street photography with human interest (direct or indirect — shadows, reflections, etc.)
- You will not submit cityscapes, landscapes, landmarks, insects, flowers, or pornographic content
- You will not submit plagiarized or stolen work
- You will not use the Site for self-promotion, spam, or sales outside of your photography services
- Photos should not have heavy digital processing that makes them look unnatural
These guidelines are adapted from the original SPDMI Facebook Group rules, established in 2019.
5. Your Content & Rights
You retain full ownership of all photos and content you submit to SPDMI.ART.
By submitting content, you grant SPDMI.ART a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Display your content on spdmi.art and cdn.spdmi.art
- Resize, crop, or optimize your photos for web display
- Feature your content in promotional materials for SPDMI.ART (with attribution)
You can request removal of your content at any time by contacting gilang@spdmi.art.
6. Community Support & Upgrades
SPDMI.ART is a free platform for all street photographers. Basic listing is available at no cost.
Optional community support tiers are available for members who wish to contribute to the maintenance and growth of the directory:
- Pro ($29/year): Unlimited photos, supporter badge, priority in search results
- Studio ($99/year): Everything in Pro plus custom URL, analytics, newsletter feature, portfolio page
100% of supporter contributions go toward hosting, development, and keeping SPDMI.ART independent and ad-free. Support is entirely voluntary.
We reserve the right to change contribution tiers at any time. Existing supporters will be notified of changes at least 30 days in advance.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Upload content you don't own or have rights to
- Impersonate another photographer or person
- Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Site
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use the Site for any illegal purpose
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
8. Moderation & Removal
We reserve the right to:
- Reject any profile submission that doesn't meet our content guidelines
- Remove or suspend profiles that violate these terms
- Edit profile descriptions for clarity, grammar, or guideline compliance
- Remove photos that violate copyright or content guidelines
Decisions are made at our sole discretion. We will attempt to notify you before removal when possible.
9. Disclaimers
SPDMI.ART is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site
- That your profile will receive any specific amount of traffic or exposure
- The accuracy of information provided by other users
- That the Site will meet your specific requirements
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SPDMI.ART and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Semarang, Indonesia.
