New Year, New Projects: What's Coming in 2026

Happy New Year! 2025 was an incredible year for the SPDMI community. We grew from a small Facebook group to a thriving community of photographers from around the world.

In 2026, we're taking things to the next level. Here's what's coming:

1. Photographer Directory

The biggest project for 2026 is our photographer directory. This will be a searchable database of street photographers who embrace the Are-Bure-Boke aesthetic. You'll be able to:

• Create a profile showcasing your best work
• Be discovered by other photographers and collectors
• Connect with like-minded artists

2. Curated Gallery

We're building a curated gallery featuring the best Are-Bure-Boke photography from around the world. This will be a showcase of the style at its finest.

3. Blog & Resources

We'll be publishing regular articles on techniques, gear, history, and inspiration. Plus tutorials and guides for photographers at all levels.

4. Community Features

Beyond the Facebook group, we're exploring ways to connect photographers more directly — challenges, critiques, and collaboration opportunities.
